"There is a tendency to trivialize the world that women occupy because its an emotional world. Because you’re looking at things from within."
Why am able to completely agree with that statement when I can barely follow it? What does that even mean? So does this mean men observe the world from without? Without what? Emotional nuance?
I find it difficult to write these days, because my mind is no longer observing or analyzing, it is holidaying. Its taken off, on vacation, because it doesn’t want to see how the world is changing, or how people are changing, it wants to dwell in the halcyon fantasy where love, comfort and security (and attention, affection and pleasure) abound. Paradise.
And Erik Satie's Gymnopédie No. 1 would furnish the scene.

Where have u been?????? I've missed u to the point of stalking your blog!!! Why aren't u writing???
ReplyDeleteHey Nikhil! Thanks for this line, it feels REALLY nice.
ReplyDeleteI've been so busy and actually, rethinking this whole blogging thing because i seem to be short of interesting material- the goings on of life are a bit too mundane to put up here. But have decided that I should give it one last shot...lets see.
Hope all's well at your end!
Sweetheart the way u write, the mundane turns exotic. Don't ever stop. I know how you feel but there are stories within, wtories that you haven't yet written... don't let them die.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Nikhil. You write so beautifully, even if it's just a line, put it down. You'll always have fans ;)
ReplyDelete:) Aw..thank you Dhati :)
